The opening reception on June 19 was the first big event the High sponsored. It featured a wonderful illustrated talk by Chris Johnson, professor of photography at the California College of Art in Oakland, CA. As mentee, colleague, and friend during the last few years of Wynn's life, Chris told the moving story of their meeting in 1973 and the profound, transformative ways in which Wynn and his legacy have influenced Chris's life. The talk was followed by a wine reception in the Wynn Bullock: Revelations exhibition galleries.
